The jewel of our town is without a doubt our coastline… therefore, on World Tourism Day we invite you to discover the beauty and diversity of its marvellous beaches, each with its own particular charm and attraction, and all of which have been awarded the Q seal of tourist quality.
La Carihuela and El Bajondillo are the two oldest and best known beaches in Torremolinos, both separated by La Punta or El Morro, a cliff of travertine stone.
La Carihuela beach stands out for its seaside neighbourhood and its promenade full of beach bars and restaurants, Bajondillo beach is the most central and cosmopolitan of the resort, with a special charm due to the old town being 45 metres above sea level.
Playamar is a more residential beach and owes its name to the Playamar Towers, an example of the «Arquitetura del Relax», so distinctive for Torremolinos. Its promenade, linked to Bajondillo, offers a wide variety of entertainment.
Finally, Los Álamos Beach, awarded with a blue flag, and its fine golden sand, is ideal for lovers of peace and quiet, but also for those who are looking for a livelier atmosphere. During the day, you can enjoy the sun in a hammock or practice water sports and at sunset, Los Alamos dresses up and music and cocktails become the real highlights.
