Castillo del Inglés
Three minutes from the viewpoint of Plaza Cantabria, you will find a new corner with fantastic and historic views. It is the view of the Castillo del Inglés or Castillo del Vigía, one of the first hotels on the Costa del Sol, which is also known as the Hotel Castillo de Santa Clara. There, in the XVII century, a defensive battery was located and at the end of the XIX and beginning of the XX, the defensive complex was acquired by the English soldier, George Langworthy, reconverting it into a residence and later into a hotel.
So much fame acquired this unique hotel, that there were many artists who saw in it a perfect place of inspiration and relaxation to carry out their creations. Among the most illustrious visitors, Picasso, Dalí or Luis Cernuda. Learn more about his story in this post.
