Residents’ Day in Torremolinos: a paradise of different cultures

Residents’ Day has been held in Torremolinos for several years, which is not surprising, as Torremolinos is a paradise of different cultures.

The good weather, great atmosphere, diversity and traditions have attracted tourists and visitors from all over the world, who have been so fascinated by the beauty of this town that they are now residents of Torremolinos. And there is room for everyone who appreciates good gastronomy among the many other things we have to offer, everyone is welcome! As the residents make Torremolinos the place that it is, we want to pay tribute to all those people who have chosen our town to live in. There are more than 14.000 residents of about 50 nationalities living in Torremolinos.

This year the communities of residents of Germany, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, China, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, the Philippines, Finland, the Netherlands, India, Morocco, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela will be represented.

When and where?

This year 2023, on the 25th and 26th of March, the Residents’ Days will be held at La Plaza de la Nogalera. On the25th, from 11: 00 am to 11:00 pm and on the 26th, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.

During the course of this weekend, at the Plaza de la Nogalera, we will find agastronomic and crafts fair, where the participating associations of 15different nationalities will make their culture and traditions visible throughtheir gastronomy, crafts and music. On stage you will see from live musical performances to international folkloric exhibitions of the represented nationalities.

Getting to Plaza de la Nogalera

Public transport is a good option to get to ’La Nogalera’ Square, located in the heart of Torremolinos. You can easily get there on the C1 suburban train and get off at the «Torremolinos» stop, right in the centre of the square. If you choose to take the bus, several bus lines leave you just a two minute walk away.   You can also come by car and park for free at the Centro Cultural Pablo Ruiz Picasso car park on Calle Campillos.

The Residents’ Day in Torremolinos is a celebration to share and live together! We invite you to visit us to experience the typical dishes and folklore of the most international residents.

D´GRANÁ TAPAS-TRAMPANTOJO!

In Torremolinos we have always wanted to be a home to everyone, regardless of their origin or customs. From the year 2022, we wanted to make it easier for all our foreign neighbours, dedicating a space on our website with information of interest to all those who want to come, whether they are residents or visitors.
