Stop right at the beginning of La Cuesta del Tajo, to admire the Pimentel Tower, one of the icons of Torremolinos. An old defense tower that gives the city its name, also known as the Tower of Mills. If you want to learn a little more , you may want to read part of its history. Don´t miss the opportunity to eat at any of the restaurants you will find on the way to the beach such as La Escalera or La Tierra Restaurant.
Going to the flea market: another way of shopping
As in other places in the province of Malaga, Torremolinos also has a flea market, where you can feel as being part of the locals. Every Thursday, at 9o´clock in the morning, on the Fairgrounds next to the bullring La Plaza de Toros. Going to the market is an experience that we recommend to do on holidays, you will discover a weekly market with more than 200 stalls.
In Torremolinos you can buy clothes, shoes, bikinis, swimsuits, dresses, lingerie, crafts, decoration, but also fruit, vegetables and cakes. It is full of colours, inexpensive and also close to other places of interest of Torremolinos, such as Molino de Inca in the Botanical Garden or tourist attractions such as Aqualand Torremolinos or Crocodile Park Torremolinos.
If you want to see it, come any Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm.
