Torremolinos is a city full of gastronomic temptations. Our baking is rich in flavours and textures, our village stands out for being a sweet territory, with lots of Bakeries and cake shops where you can succumb to temtation while you are on holiday or just give yourself a treat any day of the week.

Many of them are in centre of town, but you will also find small sweet areas in La Carihuela and Playamar where you can have a snack or breakfast and taste some homemade cakes, which you will loves.

The first bite, will take you back to ancient flavours of typical homemade baking from Malaga. Our province is famous for its oil pastries and in Torremolinos, the highlight is the flavour of this recipe dating from the early twentieth century.

If you try our Tortas de Torremolins, you will take a bite of flour, cinnamon, anis seeds, virgin olive oil, sugar and a touch of sesame seeds. A product with more than a century of history that began to be sold in a shop on Calle Hoyo and later moved to Isabel Manoja Avenue. Nowadays, these pastries are still sold in Torremolinos at “Panaderia, Pasteleria Jessica” among others.

Tahona in Playamar and Tahona in Torremolinos will encourage you with their sweet puff pastries, their great assortment of cakes and their kindness. La Milagrosa Bakery and cake shop is known for its great variety and quality that will attract you with their modern display cabinets. Do not forget to go into Pasteleria Castillo, have a coffee and an extraordinary piece of cake to enjoy on any afternoon.
